“Jim was a great guide that taught me the fundamentals of spey casting quick enough so that I could enjoy a day of fishing without too much fuss.  His attentiveness, storytelling, and humor made for a very enjoyable day fishing on the River Tay. “

“I took up clay pigeon shooting last year and approached Jim Lamb for some lessons and coaching. Jim has a lifetime involvement in the gun trade and is himself an accomplished clay pigeon and game shot so “who better to ask”

He started with the basics, from shotgun choice, gun fit, gun mounting then moving on to shooting technique and body positioning. All of which make a huge difference. I would not hesitate to recommend Jim if you want to improve your shooting, his teaching method is practical easy to follow friendly advice.”

“I thought I would give you some feedback ref my recent lesson with you at Southdown shooting club.  I will be truly honest, your lesson has helped enormously, First of all I found it a lot easier to learn by you actually showing me how to shoot the target. Then with targets I struggled to shoot you came up with a plan of attack that suited my own style. I had been struggling with loopers and I am now killing them with confidence. I am still working on areas you pointed out as being a problem, and I can now see why; i.e gun mounting, (I appreciated the tips, you worked out for me). All in All, it was a very enjoyable lesson,  and I look forward to my next. A big thank you for your patience and most professional help. I would not hesitate to recommend you to any of my friends”

“I am a novice lady shooter who has only been on a few Scottish Ladies Shooting days.  Jim has stayed in our Holiday Cottages and when I mentioned wanting to clay shoot more, he offered to take me to Auchterhouse Shooting Ground with him.  I spent a couple of hours with Jim showing me how to stand correctly and how to read where the clays were coming from and where best to shoot them.  He quickly had me hitting targets from a number of different stands (crossers, loopers and going away clays).  I really appreciated his patience and very much liked his method of instruction.  Very easy to understand and follow his advice.  I’m looking forward to our next clay shoot.”
